CAMP FIRE
AREA
This is
located towards the south of the activity field.
CASTLE MOUND
The mound
itself is beyond the gate at the far end of the activity field. It
may be used for activities and games, but no fires are to be lit there
nor tents erected there. Please ensure that the access is
available for a vehicle to get to the mound at all times.
CHARGES
£1.60 per
camper per night plus 30p per unit of electricity. Finance sheet to be
completed on leaving the site and sent to Ms L Kemble with payment.
DRY SHELTER
The cabin may
be used for indoor weekends, but is not suitable for Brownie Pack
holidays.
INCINERATOR
This is sited
at the south end of the main car park and is for burning left over food
or other burnable waste. Please do not leave unburned waste in it.
KITCHEN
Recently re
fitted with modern cooking facilities including an electric cooker,
microwave, toaster, fridge and freezer.
RUBBISH
Please burn
and bash all tins and put in double plastic sacks with all unburnable
rubbish, tie securely and place in the wheelie bin outside main car park
fence.
SOUVENIRS
These are
available on site.
TELEPHONE
There is a telephone on site for emergency use. The telephone is the
responsibility of the Guider in charge.
TOILETS
The toilet
block contain 5 toilets in the main part (including one with the
disabled access) with a further two in a separate unit for adults.
There is an elsan disposal point for chemical toilets.
WATER
Water is
piped to outside standpipes taps by the camping field gate and between
the toilet and kitchen blocks. Please use sparingly
WOOD
There is a
wood pile in the camping field. Altar fires and bricks are also
available. Please do not cut wood from the trees or hedges. No turfing
is allowed on the campsite.
