Castle Mound campsite is North-East of Coventry in the small
village of Fillongley. The site is near the centre of the
Village and commands good views across open farmland: the
neighbouring houses are screened by trees.
There are three portacabins. All the cabins have electric lights
and heaters. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, fridge,
freezer, microwave oven and a kettle. The toilet block is
divided into two sections, so the smaller part can be used for
leaders or males. The larger section has four toilets and seven
washbasins (3 in cubicles). The dry shelter could be used for
Guides (but not Brownies) to sleep in.
The
camping field is flat and suitable for large camps of fun days.
The sloping activity field and wooded mound have lots of
firewood for real fires, and a stream running between them,
ideal for rope bridges. |
